The real estate market in 2017 has been strong.  Prices of North Shore single family homes are up 2% for the first half of 2016, and the number of home closings is up 9%.  Market time has increased by 3 days and inventory has been steady. North Shore Market Report, End of 2016 We have had 2 years in a row of stable, almost sideways movement in the North Shore real estate market. The number of home sales increased by 3.7%, and market time went up 10%. The average price on the North Shore increased by 2%, but 3 of the 4 suburbs in my chart had small average price declines.
